Zámek Žleby - Gothic Castle rebuilt into a beautiful Renaissance Castle Žleby - Full Tour

Zámek Žleby není až tak marketingovo známý i když je jen 17 km od města Kutna hora. A tudíž není tak daleko taky od Prahy. Dá se sem dosta od Prahy do kutny Hory a pak přestupem do Čáslav a pak do městečka Žleby kde sídlí tento veľkej a pěknej prestavenej hrad na zámek. Ve videu je jen foto ze zbrojnice kde se smělo fotit. Na zámku se ale fotit nesmí. A tak foto ze vnitřku Zámku nejsou. A je to škoda. A musím přiznat že po pěti let už ani nevím jak to v Zámku vypadali a foto by teď přišli vhod si osvěžit paměť. No nic z venku je zámek pěknej taky tak aspoň něco. Co se týče historie. Žleby Castle is not so well known in terms of marketing, even though it is only 17 km from the town of Kutna Hora. And therefore it is not that far from Prague either. You can get here from Prague to Kutna Hory and then by transfer to Čáslav and then to the small town of Žleby, where this large and beautiful converted castle is located. In the video, there is only a photo from the armour room where it was allowed to take pictures. However, you are not allowed to take pictures in the castle. And so there are no photos from the inside of the Castle. And it's a shame. And I have to admit that after five years I don't even know what they looked like in the Castle anymore, and photos would come in handy now to refresh my memory. Well, furtunate the outside, the castle is nice too, at least something. As for history. So I am attaching below a description of the Castle's history from Wikipedia. I visited castle in August 2017. Původní gotický hrad založili ve třináctém století Lichtenburkové. První nepřímá zmínka o něm pochází z roku 1289, kdy patřil Jindřichovi z Lichtenburka, jehož někteří potomci se začali zvát Žlebští z Lichtenburka. V roce 1356 Žleby koupil Karel IV. a od té doby byl hrad často zastavován. Během husitských válek husité hrad dvakrát dobyli. Do druhé poloviny šestnáctého století se v držení hradu vystřídala řada majitelů, až Alžběta z Nestajova získala Žleby do dědičného vlastnictví.
Koncem šestnáctého století byl pozdně gotický hrad přestavěn na renesanční zámek. K jeho majitelům patřili například Černínové z Chudenic, Trčkové z Lípy, Kaisersteinové a nakonec Auerspergové, kteří po polovině osmnáctého století provedli barokní přestavbu. Dochovaná podoba zámku je výsledkem romantické přestavby v novogotickém slohu realizované ve druhé polovině devatenáctého století Auerspergy, kteří zámek vlastnili do konce druhé světové války. The original Gothic castle was founded in the thirteenth century by the Lichtenburgs. The first indirect mention of it dates from 1289, when it belonged to Jindřich of Lichtenburg, some of whose descendants began to be called the Žlebs of Lichtenburg. In 1356, Žleby was bought by Charles IV. and since then the castle has been frequently rebuilt. During the Hussite Wars, the Hussites captured the castle twice. Until the second half of the sixteenth century, the castle was owned by a number of owners, until Alžběta z Nestajov inherited Žleby. At the end of the sixteenth century, the late Gothic castle was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle. Its owners included, for example, the Černín family from Chudenice, the Trčka family from Lípa, the Kaiserstein family and finally the Auersperg family, who carried out a Baroque reconstruction after the middle of the eighteenth century.
