I'm currently spending a lot of time playing and reading about Stratocasters so it seemed the right time to do this Short History. I should add that this is just John's electric guitars and I did skip some that were played in just one or two shows for the sake of making it a reasonable length. But I do spend time on the instruments that have been the most important for Mayer and the influence that those had on the guitars he'd play later.

I didn't know a lot about John Mayer prior to starting this research and I really enjoyed it. I've even added a few of his tunes to "my book". I don't tend to listen to the radio but man, you can't have missed Mayer's impact on contemporary music this past 20 years.

I hope you enjoy it.
