The Coolest Move In Canoe Slalom History

Published
Frank Adisson and Wilfrid Forgues from France won the olympic games in Atlanta 1996 in the C2 category. In the offset combination of gates 18-19-20, where others went direct, Adisson and Forgues surfed the wave backwards and managed to gain time on their competitors. Not only did they pull off the move off cleanly, without hitting any of the gates, and under the pressure of an olympic final, but they managed to do it in a Canadian Double, C2. That makes it one of the most impressive technical performances ever witnessed in Canoe Slalom history.
