But this is not always the case. Some very famous individuals have drawn millions to witness their sending off ceremony. Western viewers may be unfamiliar with many of these names, but it's not that uncommon for foreign political and religious figures (these roles often being blurred) to draw crowds in the multiple millions, often in events that last well more than a day.
