Zvonko Pandžić, a researcher of the Renaissance, for ten years was searching and he was finding the legacy of Marko Marulić. In the library of the Franciscan monastery in Dubrovnik, he discovered, as he claims, the heart of the Croatian Renaissance written word, part of Marulić's legacy. We knew before that we had a lot of valuable legacy, we had 216 different incunabula, but they burned in that big fire after the earthquake in 1667. However we bought them and collected them from other monasteries. And as far as we can see, we also have Marulić's incunabula that came to us from Split. These are incunabulas that Marulić personally commented on. There is his first edition of the Institution from 1506, the first edition of Judith from 1521. In the end, Pandžić found biographies of St. Domnius, St. Stas and the transfer of their remains from Solin to the Split Cathedral, which Pandžić claims are Marulić's works. In terms of content and language, this text corresponds to the way Marko Marulić expressed himself in writing, we can see his vocabulary, his expression, his terminology. The manuscripts he found are transcripts from 1560, and testify that these texts about the lives of the saints were read to the people on the feast of St. Domnius. It remains to further scientifically process these findings in order to make additional validation whether they are Marulić's works.
