Making a Renaissance Hoop Skirt | Sewing a Tudor Period Spanish Farthingale for my Sakizo Cosplay

Published
Back from traveling with a Spanish Farthingale from the Renaissance period! The Spanish Farthingale existed for a while before the Tudor era, but was brought to England by Catherine of Aragon just before Henry VIII's reign. The farthingale I'm making is a very exaggerated version of the Alcega farthingale. While it uses the same cutting diagram and instructions, I've made mine quite a bit larger to get more of an over the top fantasy silhouette. This was a super simple project and came together pretty quickly!
