Welcome to a new series where we'll be exploring the geographic history of various countries. Today we kick it off with France! Beginning in 481, this video will walk you through the years and decades to see how France expanded, contracted, and ultimately became the country we all know today.

Note: some of those early borders are quite hard to figure out with multiple different sources pointing to different types of borders. Please understand I did my best to capture how and where the country expanded to. This is probably something to note for each episode as part of this series.
