Landmark sites in the history of European integration: Discovering the places (and people) that have shaped today’s EU

Francis Jacobs, our former EP colleague, conceived his EU Guide Book as a way of taking the story of European integration to the widest possible audience. The book is arranged as a highly accessible Gazetteer of the places where the Union was created and where it does its work today. Concise and informative text is illustrated by 370 photographs, so that it can contribute to put the EU on the map of European tourists.
Francis Jacobs was an official at the European Parliament from 1979 to 2016. Now a Visiting Professor at the Collegio Europeo in Parma and Senior Adjunct Research Fellow at University College Dublin, he has for decades written, lectured and contributed to debates and discussion on the EU.
