This was not a scheduled visit. This was how my VISIT TO A FRIEND ENDED UP IN VISIT TO TILLYRIE TEA PROCESSING CENTER!
After I finished my trip to Norwood, I wanted to see an old friend, Mr. O. Jeyaraj (OJ). Despite the lack of time as it was becoming late in the afternoon, I made a quick trip to Tillyrie Estate. I was eager to meet my friend after more than thirty three years. I could never have expected that I would experience an entirely different environment on my way to Tillyrie.
Tillyrie is situated about 10 kilometres from Dickoya town. Though it is a medium sized tea plantation, its yield has been very high. The estate belonged to Kelani Valley Plantations Ltd.
