Celebrating World Hijab Day in Ireland

Only a few years ago, there would have been nobody in Ireland who might wish to celebrate World Hijab Day. Those were the days when almost everybody in the republic was Catholic, with a sprinkling of Protestants and Jews. What happened to change this?
